Winningen is a village in the district of Mayen-Koblenz in Rheinland-Pfalz. It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Mosel, which has its administrative headquarters in Kobern-Gondorf. Winningen is a nationally recognized tourist resort. Winningen has been the winner of many village beauty competitions and prides itself on being one of the most beautiful villages in Germany. Winningen is also well known for the "Winninger Moselfest", the oldest wine festival in Germany, as well as its landmark, the "Winninger Weinhex".
